Pitch N Putt for Kids Mentoring is a unique, fun 9-hole golf tournament open to everyone who wants to enjoy a Friday afternoon in the sun and make the futures of kids within the community brighter!
Your support of this event gives you a chance to get together, network, and have fun while making a difference in the lives of kids facing adversity. Everyone from non-golfers to scratch golfers will enjoy this tournament as it lets you focus on your short game without the pressure of the long drive with your woods!
To further the impact to Big Brothers Big Sisters, each team will create a fan club of donors, who will support their team by making direct donations to BBBS. This amplifies the effect of the event and raises awareness and funds for BBBS.
Funds raised through this event will be directed to the local Big Brothers Big Sisters Calgary and Area (BBBS) charity, who provide a variety of mentorship programs matching kids with adults. This fundraising effort provides more kids the opportunity to improve their futures.
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Mission: BBBS commits to Canada's young people that we will be leaders in providing them with the highest quality, volunteer based mentoring programs.
Impact: Many children and youth in Canada struggle with societal barriers and face adversities in their lives. Facing prolonged adversity creates toxic stress in the brain that can negatively impact development. With the support of a mentor, these risks can be reduced or even avoided, and youth can reach their full potential.
Structure: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada is a Federation comprised of 108 member agencies servicing more than 1,100 communities across the country.
